I had recently attended a sound and light show over environment with my kids.It was about the floods which had come in Mumbai few months back,there was thunder sound along with laser waves which were showing clouds.A fountain was there below those rays which was giving a speacial effect of rains and the light flickering to give effect of lightening.Ambassaodors from various countries were invited especially to show this.Snow was falling made of cotton clubbed with sound and clouds,they had even shown a video about the environment and how careful we should be towards our environment and thankful to God for giving us pure air to breathe in.The best part about the invite was it said’kids are welcome’ for the show,they said we want the foundation about the environment to be strong from the begining.many kids were there who wee getting the message directly or indirectly.A shivering man was shown on whom light was falling ,a bird was made who was flying seeing rain and chirping sound could be heard.

In India,we celebrate Diwali by lighting lot many candles and bursting fire crackers.This diwali was no different except that i found people were more aware about the environment and bursting of fire crackers was reduced.A good move was also taken by government that in markets it was not that easy to find the crackers as it was banned in metro cities to amke them aware about environment.The religious prayers were done in the evening to call Goddess Lakshmi who brings prosperity with her.Everyone cleans the house and makes sweets and give gifts to each other.A new culture has started in Delhi that people are giving gifts more as a fashion rather than from heart and there is a competetion who gives better gifts which again is a matter of concern.The whole city was bright with everybody’s house lit with lights and candles and happiness everywhere.The season is changing in India so cleanliness which has been related with Diwali would also have been a good way to make people follow that.People even play cards in the name of Diwali which is wrong and due to poverty even the people who are hand to mouth at times loose so much of money on this occasion although lot many people play only for fun which is a better deal.People have parties at their homes and call there relatives and friends to celebrate it together.

According to recent researches people who  eat fast and try wolfing down their meals tend to put on more weight than those who eat slow .The old grandma’s lesson needs to be followed of chewing your bite 36 times if you really want to shed your flab off.It is said that if you eat quickly you basically fill your stomach before your gastric feedback has a chance to start developing you can overfill the thing. Eating fast interferes with the signalling system which tells your brain to stop eating as your stomach is full.Thus our eating behaviour needs to be closely monitored if you do not want to put on weight.Children should be especially trained about this habit as it could be learned at a very early stage.

Everyone says way to man’s heart is through his stomach and it is very much applicable to me as my better half loves food and enjoys eating walnut cake with rum flavour especially made by me , for those who like cake would like to share its recipe :

Ingredients:

curd   1 cup

flour  2 cup

eggs  3 no.

choclate powder 2 table spoon

rum 4 tea spoon

walnuts and raisins : as per your taste

butter 1/2 cup

vanilla essence 2-3 drops

baking powder 1 tea spoon

sugar 1 and 1/2 cup

receipe :

Seive flour and choclate powder and keep it aside .Dip walnuts and raisins in rum.Seperate egg white and yellow.Beat egg white till peaks form .Add sugar and butter  to egg yellow .Add flour one table spoon at a time to the mix and in the end add egg white mixing them in one direction only , add walnuts with rest of rum and few drops of vanilla essence and bake it for 45 minutes at 180 degree and your cake is ready to be served with choclate sauce mixed with walnuts as garnishing.

The capital which is being used by an organisation for performing day to day operations is called working capital.It is also represented by excess of current assets over current liabilities.The business must be able to therefore generate sufficient cash to be able to perform everday operations and able to meet it’s immediate obligations.Unprofitable business can operate only if they have got liquid resources.Working capital is therefore essential to the entity’s long term success and development.The more access of current assets over current liabilities means the more solvent the entity is.Both from the point of view of liquidity and profitability the working capital plays an important role.A mix of current assets and current liabilities therefore needs to be perfect.Poor management of working capital means that funds are tied up in unnecessary idle assets etc which needs to be improved.Hence reducing liquidity and also reducing the ability to invest in productive assets such as plant and machinery, so affecting profitability.

I had recently gone to Dubai to celebrate my dad’s 60th Birthday,it was great fun,we had booked a sand safari from Fun Tour in Dubai,they were suppose to pick us from Emirates Maul in Dubai at 5 pm and we were ready along with my two babies.We sat in Landcruiser and there was a chinese lady sitting there too who said how brave you are going for a sand safari with two kids.As we started the trip there was lot of excitement,he took us up and down on the sand dunes,we were enjoying except for my Mom who is in her 50’s and was constantly saying that we are paying them for scaring us and the heart beats were high we went on the highest sand dune and the vehicle was on two wheels, tilted and we thought it’s going to be straight but there was a problem we were stuck.Two more four wheelers came to rescue us but our driver was exerienced and he manged the control of the vehicle.He took us to the mid of sand desert where all around there were sand dunes and in between was arrangement to sit and have drinks.There was a barbe cue organised and a belle dancer performing .We had great fun,you were allowed to get henna done from different stalls and a glass filled with different colours of sand where he was writing your name with sand inside a glass jar,different animal shapes being made and we didn’t realise it was 11 pm.Everyone’s car was coming and they were leaving we kept on waiting for our driver who didn’t turn up.The phones were not working as there was no network,it was only 5 of us waiting there and at twelve the driver came and said sorry i went to sleep.The entire trip was spoiled,you being in a different country amongst different people.We thanked God when we came back home for saving us.

These days lot of couples are facing problem of infertility as both the partners are working they do not plan baby for first few years of marriage and later they face difficulty in concieving . Our lifestyle have a great impact on our ability to produce eggs or sperms. All this junk food , alcohol and especially cigarettes and tobbaco lead to infertility. There is lot of research going on for this problem but not much have been found on how to increase sperm count. Every problem has a solution there are different procedures for having a test tube baby like IUI(INTRAUTREINE INSEMINATION) ,IVF(INVITRO FERTILISATION) and ICSI(INTRA CYTOPLASMIC SPERM INJECTION) depending upon the problem each treatment is suggested ,out of these ICSI is the technique mainly used for male infertility. The cost of these treatments may range between 20,000 to 6,00,000.There are facilities of embryo freezing , egg and sperm donors but they come with a cost. Modern Science has given hope to many couples who do not have their bundle of joy.

Only a few months back we all voted for the new seven wonders but can you think of rating them or comparing which is better the Great wall of China or Tajmahal , if you  ask me i can not but recently a suggestion was made to  UN World tourism department to rank these precious monuments according to their strength and weaknesses.International tourism body is seeing this as a  marketing tool that will give people a choice to decide on their destination on certain basis but i feel to compare two different cultures , heriatges is not possible moreover if any particular body decides on the ratings it can exercise unnecessary power to drop or increase ratings of a particular monument.As the saying goes “Beauty lies in the eyes of beholder” may be i feel Taj mahal is better but the other person may not so you can not quantify or give marks to beauty .

I had recently attended a workshop on kids psychology at my son’s play school.I would like to share some issues which i discussed there.I have two sons,one is almost three and other two and a half.The elder one is well potty trained and tell us when he wants to go but the younger one who is one and a half is in the process of being trained.A major problem which i am facing these days is if the younger one will do potty outside the elder one will go at the same place and will do potty at the same spot and this drives me mad.I had discussed this problem with the psychatrist then she explained to me very nicely that the elder one is trying to say that i also want to be loved the same way as you are loving and pampering the younger one.She said we must speak and listen to our child.It’s not that if we are giving quality time to our child is enough but for a certain age they need your quantity time as well.We tend to forget that what we are doing directly or indirectly is getting imbibed in them.If the parents are working they should try to involve their grandparents as much as they can in child’s school PTM’s to get most of them.We should not leave our child in front of TV thinking that it is the best baby sitter.We should also see ourselves what our child is watching and try to keep ourself in their shoes and think how they are thinking.It made me aware of few nitty gritties of children behaviour and i try to ba a more cautious mother from that day.

I had gone to attend a Birthday party for my son’s freind,it was a theme party of Dora,it was very cute to see the curtains were of Dora,the invites were printed with picture of dora in it,the loot bash which was filled with little gifts had a big Dora printed on it.It was great fun there were printouts given with print dora on it to colour for babies.There was a tattoo maker sitting who was making tattoes on the hands of babies and a magicianwas performing magic show with pigeon coming out of a box and teaching kids few of magic tricks.The return gifts were in the bags of Dora and giftwraped with print of dora on it.It is great fun to attend such theme partie.
